    Beautiful

    This has been one of my favorite paintings for many years, but I have never owned one before. Thanks to overstockart.com's low prices I now have one hanging in my living room. I smile every time I look at it. Obviously, I don't have the original to compare it to, but I'm very pleased with the facial details on the dancers. From a few feet away it looks perfect, but up close two brush hairs stuck in the paint are evident.

    Loved Painting

    This painting was so beautiful! Loved the splash of red and golden yellow. Looked great in my family room with all tones of brown, beige and gray. Prices are great too.

    Wondering if the dance will ever be real.

    The background describes a dreamscape that remains unfulfilled and keeps on threatening to stay that way, one full of whispers about one's sacred reputation, while the dance to love songs and sensual beats and rhythms has an undertone of distancing from being unfaithful. Why and still why not, she seems to be thinking, shouldn't she wait for the better choice? I love the dark colors of the background and the bright ones of the foreground, showing the passage of time and longing.
