Vincent Van Gogh's Cafe Terrace at Night (also known as The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum) was created in Arles, France at a local coffee house in 1888. Carefully recreated to depict the original scene, the vibrant combination of warm colors and depth of perspective are definitely unique to Van Gogh's style of painting. The Cafe Terrace at Night is the first painting in which Van Gogh started using backgrounds filled with stars in his work. It pre-dates Starry Night and Starry Night Over the Rhone.     Crisp & Vibrant

    I wanted this particular Van Gogh replica in my dining room. Ordering from Overstock.Art was easy and the painting arrived safely and quickly. I have since had it framed and installed. My quests are impressed that it is not a print but a real oil painting. Pros: Crisp, Vibrant and bold coloring. Cons: Smell of the oil paint, but it is diminishing. I assume it will go away completely.

    Looks good; faithful recreation.

    Was looking for a spot to fill just over the bed. Looks lovely and really adds to the room. I've never seen the original, but the colors seem a little duller than I would have hoped for. Some of the pictures of recreations I've seen online are a bit more vibrant. That said, it is still a GREAT piece. A must for any spot that needs some life. Cheers. Pros: Visually Pleasing, Perfect Size, Quality Construction, Does Not Fade Cons: Dull Colors
