20" X 24" Couple in an Interior by Harry Roseland was originally painted in 1902. Roseland was best-known for capturing every day life in his genre paintings. Many of his pieces focus on poor African Americans after the Civil War. Roseland never received formal training, but his talent for capturing the scene in photographic detail did receive recognition within his lifetime. Today this original is part of a private collection, but we have recreated this captivating scene with our hand-painted oil on canvas reproduction.
